Feris Majed (b. 1995) is an artist based in Vancouver, BC.
His work explores identity through constructed characters, using self-portraiture to navigate the space between performance, visibility, and selfhood. The figures he creates evolve from and reflect his own journey — often shaped through close observation of himself, others, and the broader culture around him.
Majed’s practice is both aesthetic and introspective, involving costuming, makeup, digital editing, and layered visual languages. Through these methods he builds fictional yet emotionally charged worlds — part theatre, part myth — where each image functions as a fragment of a larger narrative. Storytelling becomes a way to translate personal experience into mythic form, turning inner conflict into atmosphere and character.
Across his evolving practice, the body becomes both subject and surface — at times adorned, erased, or idealized — offering a quiet tension between beauty and disappearance.
