ARTIST STATEMENT  –  Hello Digital Sunshine

Hello Digital Sunshine is a ten-part photographic series unfolding in sequence — a story meant to be experienced in its intended order. The narrative follows The Model, a digital persona unraveling inside a curated world of obsession, performance, and collapse. Blending fashion editorial with surreal distortion, the series juxtaposes, and then intertwines, screen and self. 

It begins and ends in “reality” — with the ‘Disconnector’ and ‘Connector’ — but everything in between exists inside the feed.

This is not just a collection of images. It’s a descent. A loop. A caution. A performance. And you’re part of it.

At its centre is The Model, a symbol for the seductive, performative realm of social media. Using beauty as lure, he reflects the way visual perfection becomes currency. His transformation is designed for consumption. He shapes and reshapes himself, all-consumed by a perpetual need to be seen. But The Model is not just an individual. He is a Stand-in, and a cautionary tale, for all of us.
